Sad how in just 2 years everyone changes.
| Ok, Brittany keeps begging me to update this, which is pretty much completely pointless because being my roommate, she knows what I do. I moved back to Kent with Ziehler and B and apparently Beth, although she hasn't slept in her bed yet so that may just be a rumor. I went back last weekend to go to Kim's wedding, which was sad because I had to say goodbye to Dave, and saying goodbye to someone who you don't think you'll ever see again is always very sad. Today B dyed her hair for like the 90th time. It made our room smell like a dead animal, so our hallway was not very happy with us. Even though I've never actually seen anyone else that lives in our hallway, but anyways. See Brittany, I told you I would ramble. | | |
| Ok, 7 people read my journal. That's kind of exciting. Anyway, on Monday I went to work where Brian greeted me with some not-so good news. Pete is married and has children. I almost feel like I should wear an A around my neck like we did in 11th grade, lol. Then on Tuesday my sister and I decide we want to go to the zoo. She dragged me into the aquarium despite my fear of fish, so that was not fun at all. But I did get to pet a sting ray . Then we went home and painted the garage. Since my dad moved out we've repainted the whole house, and the only color I've been allowed to pick has been the garage, so it's basically the color of my car, but a little brighter. Then yesterday I drove up to Kent to visit my dear Jon . It was fun, he's a very cool guy. | | |
| Ok, now that I got that out of the way I can tell you all about my day. Oh, and I've decided that Laura and Brittany are the only two people who read this, so if you do, please leave me a comment or something so I know. After we got back I went home, got dressed for work, and then went to work. I was very sleepy. Going along with my bad day, Paul told me that Rob, my most favorite of all Sears workers, had been fired. He was a good guy, and he got fired for sticking up for Jim. I have a very very very bitchy manager. Me and Nick talk for awhile and he teaches me what some of the tools do, although we don't understand why anyone would need them. I decided that Nick will be my new most favorite Sears workers, and that if I could have picked my father, I would have picked Nick. My sister got home from the beach so we all went to church and now I am here. | | |
| Ok kids, Chicago time. Laura and I venture out to the airport where we are greeted with the unexpected news that Laura has, in fact, signed up for the wrong flight. Then she is chosen to do extra security, which basically means they strip search her. It was amusing to watch. So she is put on standby and we go up to the gate. Laura has a small panic attack because neither of us quite understand what standby means or how it works, so the nice young lady at the counter informs us that it means that she will have to stand by. So since we got that cleared up, we waited, and then I boarded. Finally I see Laura get on the plane and we end up in Chicago successfully, where we are greeted with a weird light show on our way to baggage claim. Various members of the Ziehler family pick us up at the airport and we go back to their house. We eat lunch and then go shopping at a super huge mall. Then, the best part of the day, we stop and buy JUICE. Yum. The next day we get up and go down to the train station and get on the Metra to downtown, where we are informed that if we walk to our intended destination, we will die. So the railroad lady gives us a map and tells us to ride on the trolley. So after an hour and a half of riding on the train and singing the K9 Advantix theme song we get to Chicago. Unfortunately for us all Imperial is not a city, therefore we have no city skills and we can't find the trolley stop or even understand the trolley stop map. So after awhile of walking around my piloting skills kick in and I figure out the map. We get on the trolley and go down to Navy Pier, which is by a lake. Lake Michigan, I think we decided. We walk around, eat, ride a ferris wheel, and watch a man fit himself into a very tiny box. We then leave and decide to go to the zoo, so we rode another trolley through a very nice part of the city and get off and immediately head to the penguin exhibit, because penguins are the coolest freaking things ever, so you should probably be jealous that I got to see them and you didnt. We then see a weird looking dog thing and decide to go look for cute animals and finally find the bear section. BUT it was too hot for all the bears so they were inside, except for the polar bear, which was weird, him being polar and all. We exit the zoo and go back downtown and take the train home, where realize that we forgot to go to the bee exhibit. We are all very upset. The next day, we decide that we once again would like some juice, therefore forcing us on a juice search. After hours of being juiceless, I call information, where the lady is quite confused as to why I am looking for juice. But she finds a juice place and our juice-o meters were returned to their happy state. We drive around and find a pretty miniature golf course with a castle and an airplane. The miniature golf guy was of course late, but we got in and took pictures and then left for the airport.
I should be a psychic. I knew the whole time we were going to miss our connecting flight in Charlotte (see previous entry). We arrive at the airport and find out that our flight to Charlotte was delayed by an hour, and therefore we would miss our connecting flight. We go to the ticket guy in a panic, where he responds calming by saying "do you know anyone in Charlotte?" We are not happy people. He continues to tell us that we will be spending the night in the Charlotte airport and to enjoy our evening. So we walk around, Laura crys, I call Sears and Jim manages to calm us down. Luckily there is a juice place in the airport, which cheered us up a lot. We get on the plane, and of course the flight is horrible. Laura is apparently afraid of flying, because she is freaking out, and the turbulence wasnt helping anyone. We read Sky Mall magazine and that calmed us down a bit. So finally we arrive in NC and everyone is rushing to get off the plane to try and get their connecting flights. We are then informed that only 3 planes were left, so everyone is pissed and now homeless for the evening. We all get off and of course the rich people go and get their hotel rooms for the night. A few people we had met before the flight waited for us and we all talked and decided we were going to spend the night in the airport. So we go exploring, and then they finally decide they are going to go for a hotel. So Laura and I are left with this scary man who was also trying to go to Pittsburgh. He keeps telling us he feels bad leaving us and keeps offering money. We finally send him away and Laura and I go down to baggage claim to find a good spot to sleep. We keep looking around for other people who look like they are going to spend the night and at around 2am, everyone leaves the airport except for us and a few non-English speaking people. Laura and I find and nice spot and go to sleep for a couple hours, which was extremely difficult with all the migrant workers yelling, the lights being on, and it being freezing. At about 530 people started coming in for their morning flights, so Laura and I wake up and get some coffee and breakfast, as it has been 20 hours since we have had anything else except juice. We find our gate and sit down, and then the scary man from the last flight finds us and asks us about our evening. We eventually board and Laura finds out she is going to be sitting next to the scary man on the way home. But finally we get back to the wonderful world of Imperial Pennsylvania and my mommy picks us up and takes us home. Fun trip.
